enigma Beauty was founded in Quezon City, Philippines, by Raiza Contawi — a creator who had long believed that beauty is not decoration. Beauty is communication. Every lipstick you choose, every shade you reach for in the morning, says something before you ever open your mouth.

The idea for enigma began with a simple, restless question: what if every shade had a name that meant something? What if the lipstick in your bag carried a little mystery — not just pigment? From that question, the LIPLORE Fixing Matte Lipstick was born: twelve shades, each carrying its own story, its own mood, its own lore. Bare. Attraction. Magnet. Force. Phantom. Rulebreaker. Not just colours — characters.

The brand's name itself is deliberate. An enigma is something that resists easy definition. It invites a second look. It rewards curiosity. Raiza built the brand around the conviction that a Philippine beauty label could own the drama, the precision, and the point of view that international cosmetics brands have long claimed as theirs. enigma's first launch — LIPLORE Fixing Matte Lipstick — debuted on TikTok and Shopee to immediate community response. Within weeks, the brand had collaborated with TikTok Live sessions hosted by actress and television personality Denise Laurel, with hosts Christian Ray and Lynell Lopez — a signal that enigma had arrived with intention.
